A Thought for the Beginning of the Week

Monday, March 30, 2015

So I stumbled upon this quote some time ago and kept it on a note on my desktop ever since. I've been wanting to share, and is there a better opportunity to do it on a Monday and inject you all (and myself!) with some energy?! Here goes:

“If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, go out and sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures. Sweep streets like Handel and Beethoven composed music. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say, here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

So do your job well today, and the whole week, and always. Go on, close this tab, log out of Facebook and finish that task. Then move onto another one. Make a break. Don't go on Facebook. Open the window, breathe in some fresh air. Continue working. Make a goal: be better than you were last week. Do more than you did. And that's the road to success.

Have a great week, friends!
