Weekend Reads #64

Friday, November 18, 2016

Hello again from a train! This really becomes some sort of a tradition. I'm traveling to have my teeth and braces checked and to see my sister who has got a dog. I get to be a human aunt to this miraculous little creature. Learning from my mistakes, I am  now dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt. Little fella loves to practice his little teeth! What are your plans for the weekend? I hope you find some time to enjoy these links I've prepared for you!

You must have seen this, but if not, YOU HAVE TO click: artificial intelligence learning to recognize doodles. One word: addictive!

Have you too read dozens of articles recommending mindfulness and meditation? If you have no idea how to meditate, here's a guide for beginners. I still haven't tested it, but I plan to. If you try it out, let me know if it works!

ISIS has sex slaves. ISIS also pushes them to use birth control because having sex with pregnant women is forbidden. A gut-wrenching story.

Just a photo gallery. I know nothing about it, just wanted to share. But it does seem they receive submissions, so if you're interested...

How to find out who someone really is—a funny illustration. (A truthful one, though!)

I wish I could only share happy reads. This is not one. Legacy of Agent Orange in Vietnam.

My absolutely favorite recent read! It's a bit longer but that's because it's so so so good with so many excellent points. Should you love what you do and do what you love?

Amy Schumer touched upon how women deal with compliments. Loved loved loved it! Which one are you?

Have a great weekend! Tihana
