Weekend Reads #99

Saturday, August 31, 2019

Hello everyone,
I think we can all agree that we've had enough of summer, right?! (At least us people on the Northern hemisphere.) I mean, what's not to love about hot melting days in the city... :insert rolling eye emoji: In other news, yesterday I sit down to write the post on Sydney that I was supposed to do a year ago. Talk about me being a travel blogger. :) Hope to finish soon and bring you my view of one of the best cities in the world. In the meantime, I hope you'll like some of the links from this week's batch.

On the connection between sobriety and cooking.

Tilda Swinton has directed a music video starring her dogs. Talk about celebrity goals!

Women are often misdiagnosed for a number of issues they’re having, as males are treated as the default and females as the outlier. One of the consequences is that women die of heart attacks more often than men.

Haha, an honest invitation to potluck dinner. Bingo!

According to this article, if you want to be happier, you should stop scheduling your free time. I must say I'm shooketh! On one hand, I'm actively trying to write down everything I have to out of work, meeting friends, errands, podcasts, books, TV shows, reviving this blog! But on the other, I do find happiness in just coming home and doing nothing.

How did the first people get to America, if we're all from Africa (which aren't really close neighbors, haha)?

Three things to say to a dying person. This is so sad, but there's no doubt someone we love will die sooner or later.

Swedish Design Museum turned some real homes into exhibitions. Perfect for all of us who always wonder what people's living spaces look like!

"Things I wish my therapist says to me but she never does". I started therapy recently and found this so funny!

How to be more mindful at work.

Be still my heart: these hummingbirds!!!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Love,

Tihana
